Kailua Christian Academy (KCA) is a private elementary and secondary school founded in 1974 by Pastor Ray and Lila Shurance. The Academy has become an established and vital member of the Windward Community of Kailua, Oahu. Kailua Christian Academy was licensed by the State of Hawaii, and is currently a licensed charter member of the Hawaii Council of Private Schools.
Kailua Christian Academy is also charter member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The academic curriculum offered by the Academy includes an Honors program, College prepapatory and General courses, each exceeding the basic State of Hawaii, Department of Education (DOE) requirements for a student to graduate.
KCA has been in service continually since its inception in 1974, serving the Windward communities of Kailua, Kaneohe, Waimanalo and students from Honolulu. We have been consistent in offering parents the security of having a recognized school in the Kailua area, providing education at its highest level in a Christian environment.
Our commitment to our families is to insure that each student receives consideration that will benefit the "whole child" . . . . academically, physically, morally and spiritually. Our mission is provide a safe learning environment combined with the highest level of Christian-based academics to all of the children in our communities.

Kailual Christian Academy offers quality academics in both the the ACE and AOP programs. The curriculum is built on a theistic philosophic foundation based on the Holy Bible, God's Word. Students learn to see life from God's perspective. Their personal relationship with God and responsibilities to family, church, and community are of primary concern. The chosen curriculum fully supports these precepts and instills a strong foundation based on the Word of God.
